Experience
Adrián has 30 years of experience in the reinsurance and underwriting market in Latin America, specializing in Marine Hull and related lines: P&I, Builders’ Risks, and LOH (Loss of Hire).
He began his career at Comercial América (later acquired by ING), where he was responsible for facultative reinsurance placements in local and international markets for Marine Hull, Aviation, and Liability, while also participating in the underwriting team for these lines.
Approximately 20 years ago, he transitioned from the insurance side to the reinsurance side, with the aim of approaching the business from a more technical, regional, and governance-oriented perspective. Since then, he has built his career within the MGA environment, contributing to the development and strengthening of underwriting teams.
Throughout his career, he has worked across most Latin American markets, with practical knowledge of each country’s market know-how, including Brazil. He has led teams and held regional responsibility for Marine Hull, P&I, and Marine Liabilities.
Over the past two years, he was in charge of the Hull and Marine Liabilities Underwriting Department for LATAM, achieving premium portfolio growth and establishing technical parameters, risk appetite, and underwriting guidelines for a consistent and controlled operation.
Experience
Insurance professional with 14 years of experience across insurers, brokers, and reinsurers. With a degree in Actuarial Science and specializations in Naval Engineering and Maritime Law, he combines a strong technical and strategic perspective with extensive experience in the analysis, underwriting, and structuring of solutions for complex risks, particularly in the marine and port sectors.
Throughout his career, he led the launch and development of the marine hull portfolio at one of Brazil’s leading insurers, where, over seven years, he drove sustained portfolio growth, positioning the company as the third-largest insurer in the country in this line of business.
Experience
Mayra has six years of experience in the reinsurance sector, during which she has built a progressively advancing career from operational roles to leadership positions. Her experience spans underwriting processes, operations, compliance, and client service, enabling her to develop a comprehensive view of the business.
She holds a degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a specialization in Project Management. This combination strengthens her ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, optimize processes, and coordinate strategic initiatives with a people-centered perspective.
As Chief Financial and Operations Officer, she will lead the strengthening of the company’s financial and administrative management, as well as the Compliance department, contributing to process efficiency, continuous improvement, and the achievement of the organization’s objectives.
